FATAL EXCEPTION

When I try to install XP or check my system for
compatability I get:
FATAL EXCEPTION AT 0028:C1671CDD IN VXD VSERVER (01)
+00004D7D
The only thing I can think of is I have a computer with a
Pentium II (dBO)MMX processor. maybe not good enough????

Any help wipp be appreceated

Hi Tim,

This has to do with your present OS, XP hasn't any VXD's:

Extract a new copy of the Vserver.vxd file from your original Windows 95/98
disks or CD-ROM to the <drive>:\<windows>\system folder, where <drive> is
the drive on which Windows 95/98 is installed, and <windows> is the folder
in which Windows 95/98 is installed.

VXD's are located here: Start/Run/Regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\VxD
