Fast user switching

Problem showed up last night. Only thing I can think that changed was that I
downloaded a Microsoft Authenticity program/verification. When trying to
switch users, I can type in the password but the screen keeps coming back to
the user sign in page w/o accepting the new user sign in. You can only sign
in to the first user. Only way to change is to reboot the computer. I've
changed the fast user setting but it still doesn't accept changed
user/password. Any ideas?

Instead of re-booting, you can log off from User 1 and then logon as
User 2, but this is a PITA. I have been successful with method 1 and
haven't tried method 2.

1. Use System Restore to restore to a date/time prior to the problem
happening.
OR
2. Go to http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and use the reg
file at Number 34 (left side). If you do this, (a) create a System
Restore point first (just in case) and (b) please post back with results.
