Can't do Fast User Changing

B

Bob S

We have XP SP-2 and use Windows Live Mail for e-mail. Recently, something
changed and now we can no longer do Fast User Switching. We must log out to
change users, . Each of our Users has Administrative Privileges and Guest
User is turned off. If there is a password, I'm not aware; we are original
owners and are never asked for a password when we boot up or change users.

When I go to User Accounts and select Fast User Switching and click Apply
Settings, I am no allowed to make the change.

I had what sounds like the same problem. The Welcome Screen had been
disabled by Client Service for Netware. It was a matter of uninstalling
that software, going to User Accounts and opting to use the Welcome Screen.
If you Google "Client Service for Netware", you will find instructions on how
to remove it.
