Far Cry Loads Game and then crashes back to the desktop

I have been playing Far Cry for a while and havent had any problems,
Until today, every time I load a saved game or launch a new one the
game loads and the crashesinto the desktop. The error I get is:

"The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( ) cannot be found.
The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or
message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may
be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see
Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the
event: 7."

I know that some people are having this problem with Doom 3, but I
have a 2Ghz, 684mb Ram and a 64mg Geforce2 Mx400 with all the latest
drivers and Windows updates. If anyone has the same problems I would
be very grateful cause this is a class game and I want to finish it.

Hi pknelson,

Are you using an Administrators account to install and play that?

Yep, there are only 2 Accounts mine and anothr one and both have Admin
rights. The game worked perfectly, its nearly completed it, tried
reinstalling it, and installing the patch and neither worked.
