Far Cry Problem

Hey I just installed the game Far Cry on my Laptop. It installed fine, but the it wouldn't actually boot up when I told it to. So I installed a Demo version that I got from a magazine, and its installation was interupted by something called a -1603 error. I can't find out whats wrong, but I think this may be the problem with the game not loading

If anyone knows how to fix this, or even know what the error is, please tell me.
