False unread icon appears

I am using Outlook 2003



I have implemented a rule that diverts all messages that have been tagged
by my email server as spam to go to my - Deleted items folder.



Currently the email notification icon appears on the task bar when I have
unread messages even if the unread messages only occur in the - Deleted
items folder.



I would like the unread icon to appear only if there are unread messages in
the - Inbox.



Anyone know the answer?



Not a big deal . kind of annoying though.

If you have creatd a Rule yourself then you can add "mark as read" to it.
