Failure to Hibernate

I am running WinXP Home Edition SP1 on a Pentium 4, 2.60 GHz, 800 MHz FSB,
1GB RAM, 2- 160 GB hard drives, DSL connection to Internet. My PC fails to
hibernate. PC will go to hibernate for 30-40 seconds and then becomes active
again. Any suggestions?

Try turning off the dsl modem before you put the system into hibernation.
