XP hibernation with 2GB RAM

I have upgrade my ThinkPad T41's RAM from 1GB to 2GB
Before I upgrade (1GB), XP's hibernation works fine.

After upgrading, hibernate failed with an error message
"insufficient resources exist to complete the API"
When the system was loaded with a lot of programs.
ps. Hibernate works with some programs loaded (below 500MB~600MB)

I have checked & tried every possible solution from the news groups.
1. XP without any Service Pack --> Failed
2. XP with SP1 --> Failed
3. XP with SP1 + Hot Fix(KB 330909) --> Failed
4. XP with SP2 --> Failed
5. Recreate hiberfil.sys --> Failed
6. Modify boot.ini [MAXMEM=2047] --> Failed

Any ideas?

Hi,

How much free space is on the drive housing hiberfil.sys?
If you use just the one new stick, does the problem still occur?

Hi,

But it works if just *some* programs are running? There is no specific
reason why you shouldn't be able to use it with 1 or 10 applications
running. It could be that one of the applications does not properly support
going into hibernate, you will have to tinker a bit to figure out which one.
