When trying to hibernate, about 50% of the time I get the classic error
"Insufficient resources to complete the API" after upgrading from 2GB to 4GB
of RAM.
The whole 4GB isn't even accessible (only 3.25GB) and I thought this issue
was fixed long ago by hotfixes 330909 (included in SP2) and 909095 (included
in SP3).
The comments on 909095 suggest that Microsoft can't be bothered to fix the
problem properly -
"Note It is still possible to experience a hibernation problem after you
install this fix if the memory becomes highly fragmented. The speed at which
this problem manifests is dependent on the software that you run and your
particular usage model. "
Is anyone else experiencing the same problem with 4GB (3.25GB) of RAM in XP?
