HELP!
I have a home pc with a legal Windows XP Home Ed installed on it, and I
recently purchased a Laptop with a legal Windows Vista Starter installed on
it.
As Im in the Philippines I purchased a Smart Bro Broadband Router for the
Laptop, but it has "conflict" issues with the Windows Vista Starter. I was
told that the broadband router will work on the Windows XP Home Edition.
What I need to know is; can I use my Windows Xp Home Edition disc from my
PC and install it on my Laptop?
My Laptop is an Acer Aspire with an Intel Pentium Processor 14300 (2.1 Ghz,
800 Mhz FSB), with 2 Gb Random Memory 250 Gb HDD.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!

Is your WinXP Home a retail version or did it come with your home pc?
If retail, then yes you can install it on the laptop.

If retail, then yes you can install it on the laptop.

But the OP will need to remove it from the original PC. The Retail
license generally states "for use on one computer at a time..."

OP:

You will need to also not that more and more newer PCs / laptops will
never have XP drivers. Before going thru the reformat process, check
to see if the XP drivers exists.

you might simply try plugging your
laptop directly to the broadband modem
and skip the router for this analysis.
