Failing when upgrading to SP2

According to the last two svcpack.log files, it bombs out in what appears to
be a copy process (there are a bunch of files previous to these):

C:\WINNT\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\fxsres.dll
3734.821: Copied file: C:\WINNT\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\fxsdrv.dll
3735.031: Copied file: C:\WINNT\System32\spool\DRIVERS\W32X86\3\fxsapi.dll
3742.502: Error installing assemblies, GLE=5
3767.958: Unregistration of sprecovr successful
3768.479: Access is denied.
4532.157: Message displayed to the user: Access is denied.
4532.157: User Input: OK
4532.157: Service Pack 2 installation did not complete.

Anyone have any thoughts on what else we might look for to resolve the
problem?

Thanks.

Hi Bob,

Check:

"Access Denied" error when trying to install SP2
http://aumha.net/viewtopic.php?t=8125

and

You receive an "Access is denied" error message when you try to install Windows XP Service Pack 2:

Thanks - we will give that a shot. I had seen the second link, but thought I
would try here before going through the process if there were other ideas.
The first link isn't accessible at work, so will have to take a look at it
from home.

Thanks again.
