F11 full screen quit working

I am using Win XP Home Edition, with SP2.…and Internet Explorer 7.

I use the Internet a lot to look at maps. When doing this, I have
always used key F11 to get a “full screen”. Sometimes I’ve also
gotten a full screen by doing: view>>>full screen.

I’ve always been able to toggle “full screen” on and off by using F11..

However, yesterday F11 became non-functional. So did View>>>full
screen. I try either method, and nothing happens. I cannot get a
“full screen”.

So I did a “RESTORE”, restoring back 7 days. No help, no difference.

I have NOT recently installed any new or different software, nor am I
aware of any other changes that have been made.

How can I get my F11 “full screen” function back?

If it is only a problem with those map windows you may have to try cloning them
with Ctrl-N, then see what you can do with the clone.

BTW please try to figure out how to post in plain text mode,
so you don't send "Quoted Printable". Other Google Groups
users seem to have found a way of doing that. It makes it much
easier for users of real newsreaders (such as Outlook Express)
to compose replies which quote from your posts.

Good luck

Thank you for response. It is _NOT_ only occuring with the maps I
look at.

I cannot get F11 to give "full screen" regardless of what I am
looking at on the screen.

[To keep track of things, it helps immensely if you include all of previous
message(s) in your replies to the newsgroup. Thank you.]

Try a different keyboard.

Thank you PA Bear. I borrowed my neighbor's Dell keyboard, and it did
NOT solve my problem. I still cannot acquire a "full screen" under
any conditions I've been able to create.
