Extra windows

I installed win xp and it left my win 2000. So I
reinstalled Win xp and now I have 2 partitions of win xp
and I don't have the diskspace to spare. How do I get rid
of one of them?

Hi Renee,

Boot to the one you want, open Windows Explorer and delete the system
folders for the one you do not want. Then edit boot.ini and delete the
reference to the unwanted system. Boot.ini is a hidden system file on the
root of the boot partition, you may need to change your settings under
folder options/view tab in order to see it.

And if the boot files happen to be on that partition? Then what? Everything
will be fine until the user reboots - then kablooey!

Actually though, it's not that bad, but they will need to know how to boot
the Recovery Console and run bootcfg to rebuild it. Hell of a thing to
assume that they know how to do that though.

The point is: Be careful in your advice.
