Explorer won't display

Windows Explorer suddenly stopped displaying

When I double-click the Icon, I get a momentary hourglass, then nothing. If I double-click repeatedly, and then open the Task Mgr with Ctrl+Alt+Del, I see numerous instances of Explorer listed as running, however not a single one actually displays

This suddenly started happening for no reason I can determine, and I can't figure it out

Thanx

Hi, Tom.

Could the WE window be opening off-screen? Or Minimized to the Taskbar? Do
you see icons for each instance of Explorer in your Taskbar? What happens
if you Right-click on one of those icons?

Some display cards allow us to create a larger screen than the monitor can
show. This can be changed by right-clicking on the Desktop and choosing
Properties | Settings. Or you can right-click the Taskbar icon and use the
keyboard arrow keys to move and resize the Explorer window. When you get it
to a manageable size onscreen, you can use your mouse for further
adjustments. It's tempting to click Maximize here, but we can't adjust a
Maximized window size; we need a Normal window, stretched to fill the
screen, or to the size we want.

No. no taskbar indications or anything else

Also, the shortcut properties allow the program to be run in a Normal Window, Maximized, or Minimized. All 3 options produce the same results. No display anywhere and only a listing in Task Manager to show it's running at all

Also, this only started happening last night, and nothing was changed on my system at the time

Thank you
