Explorer will not open

Is ANYTHING being done to fix the problem with the browser
not opening???? Seems like a lot of people have the same
problem. HELP.....I've sent at least 50 error reports and
NO HELP.

I'm pretty sure that about 98% of these "won't open" questions are being
answered. But.. the CDO interface to the newsgroups (the Newsgroup link at
MS Support) makes it difficult to follow threads.

So...
From Control Panel> Internet Options> Advanced uncheck "Enable third party
browser extensions." That should allow IE to open.

Run CWShredder from http://www.merijn.org/downloads.html It's been
the most helpful with this problem. It may be the only cleanup program you
need this time. CWShredder is only about 125 KB so it could be downloaded
from another machine onto a floppy disk.

Search for and remove other malware and note the security tips at:

You should re-enable browser extensions after the cleanup.
