Internet Explorer 6/7

I having porblems with IE 6 opening. I get a message that says 'Internet
Explorer Encountered a Problem and needs to close' and requires a 'Send Info'
to correct.
I sent several messages through this window box message but am still having
the same problem. I can open and use the Monzilla browser, which I'm using to
report this question. I downloaded IE 7 to upgrade and see if it would
correct the problem but the problem still exists.
I have NOT set Monzilla to my default browser so what are my next steps to
cure this. Any help would be appreciated!!

You have posted in an IE6 group - try the below

of
the problem with IE6.

No, but matters may have been compounded with the download of IE7 which in
itself is causing some troubles.
Have you tried to uninstall IE7 as that did not work for you

First of all, you should uninstall ALL internet explorer traces from your
computer. That might mean downloading a free "total uninstaller" or
"registry cleanup" utility from download.com. Then go to
http://firefox.mozilla.org and download the 2.0 public release, or the older
v.1.5.0.7 and experience a REAL browser.. Problems Solved.

Hi,

Reporting the crash doesn't change anything, at least not immediately.
Those data are analyzed and used to write patches.

What you should try:

- scan for adware and spyware using Adaware, Spybot and Windows Defender
- empty the cache of your browser

Kind regards
