Explorer Popup

I am running Xp home and something has gotten into my explorer because when I am in explorer, like now, I suddenly get a new explorer window open and the home page of another website. How do I get ride of this file that is causing it. I tried to reload XP yesterday hoping that it would rewrite explorer and get ride of the file that is causing it, it did not.

Please can anyone help

What your describing is usually a result of "spyware" or "malware" installed on your PC. You
can use the following applications to remove the offending applications:
