Explorer.exe

Hello.

I'm having some problems with Explorer and Internet Explorer. About 20 or so
seconds after they appear on the screen I get this error:

Windows Explorer has encountered a problen and needs to close.

Error signature

AppName: explorer.exe
AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: kernel32.dll
ModVer: 5.1.2600.1106
Offset: 00013887

Same for IE.

Anybody know any solutions to this problem? I have McAfee AntiSpyware and
checked for spyware, but everything was clean.

Hi
I have the same problem. Mine dosen't tell me it has to close it just
closes. I can still access my email ok.
I have tried everything that people have advised even down to a Repair
install but still it closes after a couple of minutes.. I have had this
problem for about a month now.
I have emailed Microsoft but have had no reply from them. Alan

I have the same problem! I have tried everything I could find on th
web, and none of the solutions work.

I'm running SP1 with updates, but I'm planning on installing SP
tonight.

I have to boot into safe mode to accomplish anything.

I've also run Anti-Virus scans, and Spybot and Ad aware also.

Please let me know if you figure out anything
