It's more important to find out why this is happening. Are there error
messages or have you checked for viruses/malware?

I have a question into the windows xp newsgroup as to why this is happening,
I am however, looking for a replacement.

on a recommendation.

I'm pleased with the first 24 hours.

It says it's ok for all 32bit windoze - is that XP?

Are any of these the no-brainer choice:

simple,
install and go,
no need for detailed study of wordy documentation,
suitable for the non-technical,
looks & feel more or less like Win Explorer?

I've used 2XExplorer for at least 5 years, it had a couple of
glitches, but still is my favorite.
Strange, I've never heard of it - I had the impression it was new.

Maybe you're thinking of the same author's other successor program: Xplorer 2,
it's only been around for a couple of years. 2X is around, but no longer supported
by author, still has a forum.
