excel spreadsheet won't open

I have repaired the Office install, and deleted the "%1" in regedit, but I
still cannot open a spreadsheet by double-clicking it. I have to open Excel,
then click on the "open file" icon, then locate the file.
Any help or ideas would be most appreciated.

Try:

Start, run,

"c:\program files\Microsoft Office\Office\Excel.exe" /unregserver

followed by:

Start, run,

"c:\program files\Microsoft Office\Office\Excel.exe" /regserver

Quotes mandatory, may need to change the path.

Hello,

I am also having similar problem; The ole is not working in Office 2003
among the Office 2003 and also for any outside applications such as AutoCAD
etc.
This feature was working excellently in Office XP version.
As this is an extremly handy tool, I am wondering if some one can help us out.
