Hi, currenty using winXP SP2 office 2000 SP2.

when i login as a this one user. her excel crashes. i can login to her box,
and it works fine.

have got user to try other working p.c....this also crashes. but works for me.

renamed the user profile, and let a new one be created from server. but
still excel will crash on start up.

mad thing is.......other people can open and work on this document with
n.p.....

the instal of office is not local to the p.c. but on a "blade"...

i have saw some other posts saying "run excel in safemode....ect"

but as i cant point to the .EXE

Does this user only have trouble with one file?

Maybe the user's temp folder is also on a server. Try cleaning the temp
folder(s).

Can you check what the shortcut for starting Excel is? You can then use that to
try to start Excel in safe mode.
