I have just upgarded a users PC from a dual core 1gb ram pc to a quad core
2gb ram pc (both had 128mb graphics). He had excel 2007 installed on both but
the new machine occassionally generates the following error - "Not emough
system resources to display completely". When this happens the best option is
to close all open spreadsheets and restart excel as it conitnues to happen.

Occurs generally when editing spreadsheet be it it copying data or entering
new function/calculation.

It causes the screen become blocky with certain buttons portions of the
window displaying window behind etc until you mouse over. You can get the
window display back to normal ny minimising and restoring but you still
cannot work in the workbook without causing the issue.

Please help as this never happened on old pc which had generally less
hardware capability.

I'm having a very similar problem to theo1881's. Excel 2003 worked fine with
my dual-core AMD processor, but when I upgraded to Excel 2007 I began having
the same problems. I can work Excel 2007 for about 1/2 hour on average
before I get graphics problems. Closing and reopening the spreadsheet
*sometimes* works but not always. The problems can suddenly start even when
Excel is minimized and I'm working on something else. The only sure (but
temporary) cure is to reboot, but sometimes even that can't be done without
actually cutting power to the machine. Strangely, often the first indication
of a problem is a popup from my Belkin UPS software saying it's lost
connection to the USB port! It's not an incompatibility between the two
programs because it still happens even with the Belkin software shut down. I
don't experience the problem with any other software. I'd appreciate any
suggestions as this problem makes working with Excel very difficult.
