Excel 2007 Hangs

For three straight days MS technical support people has tried to get
my just-installed copy of Excel 2007 to work. Still no success so far.

I successfully installed Excel on my laptop, but the Excel installed
to the desktop invariably crashes after a few clicks, whether the
input file is in 2007 format (xslx) or earlier (xsl).

The crash typically occurs when I click on a cell having a formula or
a tab that has another sheet on it.

Helpful thoughts, anyone?

I have a similar problem with Excel 2007.
When I go to Excel Options->Add-Ins it crashes.
I can´t use some of my spreadsheets because I am unable to manage my
Add-ins. The Event Id is 7001 but there are a lot of different
messages related to it.
Does someone know what is going on?

I have a similar problem - however it occurs when I update the extent of
named ranges on external workbooks. Excel just gives up, hangs then crashes
- however it DOESNT happen when the external workbook is closed, only when
its open and you change the ranges which reference the sheet.

Happens every time.
