Hi after having a new set up built for me I have finaly got windowsxp to
work (drivers etc).
However maybe one or twice a day it will resart with a serious error. After
looking at the Event Log file I see the problem is reported as, System
error, Service Control, The ASPI32 service failed to start due to the
following error:
The system cannot find the file specified..
Can anyone throw light on this please.

This is usually due to some missing .dll or .sys files. If you could post back the entire error details window then we could point you in the right direction. It's usually just a matter of installing the missing files in the system32 folder. When you double click the red X in the event viewer it will open the details window. On the right side of that window you will see what looks like some pages with the corner turned down. Click or double click this to copy the window to the clip board and then you can paste it into a post for us to look at. {:~)
