Logwatnt.exe cannot write to memory

Help

Upon startup I get the Logwatnt.exe error saying:

The instruction at"0x0012e870" referenced memory at "0x0000000" could not be
written. This only started after the installation of office 2k3. I have
since removed this as well as norton etc bit by bit. Spyware removed and
virus scaned with another virus scanner (AVG now installed). I have cleaned
up the registry but alas no use. The system is very unstable and I get full
reeboot system crashes.

Can´t think what to do without reinstalling xp. But i´ll need to backup
lots and lots of data first.

In the event log system I get the following major errors one after another
which seem to happen round or after the crash.

Has anyone any advice?

If you reinstall XP, I don't think that you need to, leave most of this crap
off of your machine.
