Assuming that everything on your computer is running OK:

1 Go to Control Panel->Perfromance and Maintenance->Administrative
Tools->Services.
2 See if there is a service by that name in the Name column.
3 If so, right click and select properties.
4 Change the Startup Type to Manual or Disable.
5 Reboot.

Algicprtcntctio is probably some sort of malware.

UPDATE your antivirus software and run a full system scan.

UPDATE whatever anti-spyware applications that you have and run a full
system scan with each one.

You might want to start in Safe Mode to run your antivirus and anti-spyware
software.

Running a full system antivirus scan or anti-spyware scan in Safe Mode can
be a good idea. Some viruses and other malware like to conceal themselves
in areas Windows protects while using them. Safe mode will prevent those
applications access and therefore unprotect the viruses or other malware
allowing for easier removal.

Hi!,

No, this service is not in the list.
I have no idea why this error is there.

Hi Wesley,

That was my thinking at the beginning, although I am very well protected.
However, I had a complete scan with different sw, nothing is there, no
malware or virus and...my antivirus is always updated.
I did all the scans in safe mode and normal mode, nothing.

This is a real mistery to me...

Alex,

Maybe whatever you had is gone, but there may still be traces of it left in
the registry.

All Services are listed in a registry key.

At startup, Svchost.exe checks the services portion of the registry to
construct a list of services that it needs to load. The Services Control
Manager (services.exe) is responsible for starting, stopping and interacting
with system services.

Try this.

Open the Registry Editor...
Start | Run | Type: regedit | Click OK |
Navigate to >>
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services

Scroll down the list and look for Algicprtcntctio

If it exists look around a little and see what you can find.

You can also search the registry for Algicprtcntctio.

Open the Registry Editor...
Start | Run | Type: regedit | Click OK |
Hit your F3 key | Paste this in the box:
Algicprtcntctio | Click the Find Next button |
Keep hitting F3 until you see the Finished searching through the registry
message.
