ethernet lan card

I have recently installed a new 10/100mbps fast ethernet
lan caron my xp home computer, but it still shows only
10mpbs speed. How do I set it so I get 100mpbs speed?

If you are connected to a 10m network that's all you'll get. All devices
in your network chain have to support it; hub, switch, router, whatever.

The broadband modems (cable/DSL) only do 10mbps on their WAN connection. It
is okay for now since most max speeds are about 3.0 M.
