ethernet lan card

I just installed a 10/100mbps ethernet lan card on my
Windows XP home edition, I am connecting thru dsl.
When I am connected I am still showing speed of 10mbps.
How do I set it so I can get the 100mbps speed???

for 100mbps to work, BOTH ends must support it.

the dsl modem likely only supports 10mbps...so that's all
you will get. It's not a big deal as your dsl will not
even approach that. Now, if you get a router, it will
connect to your pc at 100mbps, but to the modem at
10mbps. getting a router will allow a 100mbps connection
on other pc's in a lan, and 10 to the modem.
