Error when trying to download QuickTime/iTunes

When I try to download QuickTime 7.1/iTunes I get an error: Could not open
key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Classic\QuickTimePlayerLib.QuickTimePlayerApp\CLSID. Verify acces to key. What do I need to do to correct this?

Do you mean download, as in get file from a site on the internet and bring
it down to your computer, or do you mean install the program? check the
permissions on the key to see if you have write/modify permissions. Also
contact QuickTime / iTunes tech support for help with their program.
