Could not write value quicktime task to
key\software\microsoft\windows\current version\run. verify that you have
sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel this is the
error message when attempting to install quiktime and Itune software can
anyone help

Common problem on systems where the QuickTime task has been
set to disabled. Many software firewalls will prompt for permission
to allow QuickTime task to run and users sometimes inadvertently
deny the program rights to run. This can end up causing later versions
of iTunes to not install/upgrade properly.

Also can be a Registry permissions issue that must be reset to allow
the iTunes installer access. The following site has useful information
