Error when starting IE

When trying to open IE I receive the followign message:

"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to
close. We are sorry for the inconvenience".

Details are:

AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106
ModName: winshow.dll ModVer: 1.0.0.11
Offset: 00006a07

If I click on IE again I can use IE, so I have two
windows open and when I close the error message it closes
one of the IE windows.

Does anyone know of any solutions.

well since you have spyware/hijacker you need to run spybot
at safer-networking.org ,update,scan on easy, remove the
nastys.use immunize. to open ie to get there
,start,control panal,internet connections,internet
options,advanced, and uncheck'enable third party browser
extensions', as well as uncheck both 'enable install on
demand',apply.
now ie should open.

CWShredder from http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html will
remove winshow.

You should scan for and remove other malware with Ad-aware and Spybot.
