IE wont start

When I try to start IE I get the following error signatur:
AppName: iexplore.exe AppVer: 6.0.2800.1106 ModName:
winshow.dll
ModVer: 1.0.0.6 Offset: 0000a95e
Anybody know what to do?

I have a similar problem and traced it to a trojan virus winfj32.dll which was also detected as DIALER.6.G and isolated by my virus software. I have had to get a disc from a friend with another browser OPERA and am accessing the www with it at the moment. I am thinking of clearing my system and starting with a fresh loading of XP as any online programs I have accessed need to use iexplorer to gain access my comp and carryout any repair
This virus seems to have got into my system through an update from microsoft which makes me wonder if I should bother upgrading again if this is the end result.
