Error message when burning DVD

I recently installed a Pioneer DVD writer with nero 6
software but keep getting the message- 'drive being used
by another application' when I try to burn DVD or CD.

Any suggestions ??

Open Windows Explorer
Open properties of your CDR drive
Click on Recording tab
Untick option to enable recording
