Ok, here's the complete history:

I have a Windows 2000 Server (SP4) with RAID 0 and
the "backup" hard drive failed. When I replaced the drive
and rebuilt the array, everything went fine. When Windows
attempted to boot after rebuilding the array, I got the
message mentioned before. The problem is that the message
automatically reboots the system, and the message comes up
every time the system boots, so it's stuck in an infinite
loop.

The Articles I've researched on
http://support.microsoft.com mention several fixes, none
of which have been applicable. In order for this server
to boot I had to disable the RAID and hook up the hard
drive to the first IDE connector, so I'm working off of
only 1 hard drive. The system boots fine with this
setup. It's when the RAID is connected and functional
that the problem occurs.

I hope this clarifies my problem, any help is appreciated!

Thanks

There's no redundancy in a raid 0, hence no way to rebuild a striped set.
Sounds more like raid 1. Is this hardware or software mirroring. IMO the
latter simply isn't worth the trouble.

Oops, I meant RAID 1; it is set up as hardware mirroring,
which is why the rebuild went fine. Sorry for the
confusion.

I hope this helps.

Thanks again.
