2000 install issue status code 128

Hi I upgraded from 98 to 2000 and all is well. But I am
getting a constant message after 10 seconds after booting
up ......
It says c:\winnt\system32\isass.exe terminated
unexpentantly with status code 128. The system will now
shut down.
This then shuts down my sytem and reboots and I get the
same message...with the same ending...any ideas?
