Error message in Microsoft Word

All application seem to work properly except for
microsoft word. When opening an existing document, the
message is microsoft word has encountered a problem and
needs to close. Send error report. On the odd occasion
that a document can be opened it cannot be printed. This
trouble exists on 3 of the 10 computers networked in our
office.
