Everytime I try to load flash player 7 I get error loading W95INF32.DLL. I have spent hours looking how to fix it, changing pop up settings and active X controls. I have used search and it is on my computer but I am no tech brain and don't understand what the problem is. I click install and only get that ***** red X box and no yellow information bar line to says allow active X to install. I run McAfee security 7 and if I understand right, it has something to do with Windows SP Service Pack 2 (SP2). No matter what instructions I follow I still get that ****** red X!! Can someone make sense of all this? I just don't know where else to turn. Thank you. Judi

You'll probably need to restore your file for it may be corrupt.
You'll need your XP CD in your CD-Rom drive or you can check
for it in C:\Windows\I386 it may also be there. If you have a Dell
computer, it will be under C:\Dell\drivers
1. Go to Start>Run and type MSCONFIG and click OK
2. Check "Expand File"
3. Enter the file name and follow the prompts.

You want to extract W95INF32.DLL to c:\windows\system

Backup the current one when prompted.

I get the same error message while trying to set up Microsofts Rise of
Nations Gold Edition on my Windows XP. "Warning: error loading W95INF32.DLL"
and then setup crashes.
I tried your advice Byte, but i have no XP CD, it came preinstalled on my
PC. I did snoop around in C:\Windows\I386 but there was no W95INF32.DLL.
I'm not a computer wiz either and i've just made a switch from a slow crappy
computer running 98 to a mediocre PC with XP so, i'm all turned around. I
hardly know how to navigate this machine.
Any advice for me?
