Error 1920

During the starting services portion of the install I'm receiving the Error
1920.Service that WinDefen failed to start. Has this been encountered by

I am having the same problem. Trying to install on Win2K Pro. I have Admin
priviliges and can start and stop other services. I tryed turning off all AV
and other spyware programs.

I still get error 1920.

Any suggestions?

Rob, I installed the "Rollup 1" service pack for Win2K and now Windows
Defender installs correctly.

Cannot get the definitions to update now.

Figures. I should know better. Things from MS only work if you have to
give your left nut and your first born son. If it's from MS ancd it's free,
then it is trash.

RobertNC, Thanks for the help. Everything seems to be functioning now but
like you said MS isn't that user friendly.
