Error 1327. Invalid Drive, Drive has crashed

I recently had my second hard (Slave) drive crash. It is completely
unrecoverable. I had a game installed on that drive (Half life 2, along with
other steam components). Anyways, while trying to uninstall the game so that
I can reinstall it on my working drive, windows "Add/Remove Programs" will
give me the Error 1327, invalid drive" error, and will not continue with the
uninstall.

Running the Game CD will give the same error, and will not continue. I
believe that I need to somehow modify my computer to get rid of this
association to the drive that is not working, but am not sure how to.

You might want to contact the game maker for info on what references in
the registry to remove.
