Epson CX3200 scanner not working

On new installation of XP Professional, an upgrade to a
new Toshiba notebook to replace my tower which fried,
I've installed drivers for Epson CX3200
printer/scanner/copier. I think I've got the printer
working, but the scanner function is failing. Any
ideas? Drivers were installed from the original CD.
 
Epson products are notoriously picky about the way they are installed. Make
sure you follow the Epson installation instructions to the letter. I am
assuming that the CX3200 is XP compatible in the first place.
