Epson Action Laser 1600 to windows xp

I can't seem to get my epson laser 1600 to print with
parallel port.. I've contacted customer support = no help.

I've connected the printer on windows 2000 no problem..
Printer works fine.. usb port

any suggestions..

There are no drivers listed for either Windows 2000 or for XP at the Epson
site... only drivers for Windows 3.1 and DOS. I suggest this printer may be
incompatible with XP because of its great age..... it's got to be a sign
it's 9 years or so old.

Probably time for a replacement.
