Entry point not found

A couple days ago I posted a question about why I was
getting an error....

Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point could not be located in the
dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll

.....when trying to install Impression Pro on my WinXPpro
system.

I have been in contact with others who are running XPpro
and are running Impression Pro.

So...now the question boils down to why will it not run on
my system?

If iI remember correctly, I had this installed quite some
time ago, but when it said that version could not be run
under this version of Windows, I uninstalled it.
Now....could there be some leftover from that first
install that is causing problems??? I have done
the "sfc /scannow" thing to make sure my drivers are ok,
but it changed nothing as far as this install is concerned.

This is definately an XPpro problem. At this point, a
reinstall of XP is an absolute LAST option.
Restoring...well...I have no idea how far back I would
need to go. I hope somebody has a third, less painful
option.
