ENABLING REMOTE DESKTOP CONNECTION

T

TOPSY

I have networked 2 pc's running XP Home and want to be
able to see the host computer's desktop on my one monitor
so that I can shut down the pc at the end of a session.

I am having trouble enabling remote desktop connection.
When I try to connect on the client pc to the host's
desktop I get the following message "The client could not
connect to the remote computer. Remote connections might
not be enabled or the computer might be too busy to
accept new connections. It is also possible that network
problems are preventing your connection. Please try
connecting again later. If the problem continues to
occur contact your administrator"

I have entered the computer name and workgroup name. I
have tried entering the IP address of the host computer-
all to no avail. My network is set up using an ethernet
cable from my client computer to a wireless cable/DSL
Router which in turn is connected to a broadband modem
and a USB cable to the host computer. The network seems
to be working fine as I can access the internet on both
pc's and access shared files, etc.

Can anyone help?
