Enable Active X

My computer is telling me I need to enable active x. I right clicked on the
bar below the address line like the help information said to, but the
information they say is supposed to be there is not. HELP! Anyone have any
suggestions. I'm the same one that is running with add ons disabled in IE.
Are the problems related?
