email with attachments (1MB) resends many times

Hi,
When sending emails with attachemnts of day 1MB the email remains
in the outbox and keeps resending. No Attacment and small attachment emails
are OK. This problem is happening on 2 PCs.
Win XP SP2 all updates done. Outlook 2002 all updates done.
AV is not set to scan OG emails. AV is Trendmicro internet
security 2006. PCs are on a small network connected via ADSL to the net.
Any suggestions where the problem might be will be much appreciated.

Also I have lengthened the send/receive interval and
lengthen the server timeout value as per other posts.
IS any one reading this???? Almost 2 weeks and no replies!!
