Hi Robert

Just a quickie ....

Like another guy on this Newsgroup, I tried to use "this fix" a second time
but got a message saying it was not for me! When I downloaded the original,
it seemed to me as though it wasn't simply being 'run' but was in fact being
'installed' - so, I guess you are not meant to 'install' twice.

Cheers,
John

Microsoft has been rather close-mouthed about what this KB941090
fix actually does, and whether it can be used more than once.
I get the impression that it doesn't really address the basic cause
for 'ghost' or 'stuck' messages, so there is nothing to prevent the
same problem from happening again.

In the long run, users should be migrating to the more robust
and better supported Windows Live Mail.

This usually means you need to download and install this fix, with Windows
Mail not running:

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/941090

Although it's labelled as for mail stuck in the Outbox, it also works in
other folders. If you don't know whether to use the 32-bit version or
the 64-bit version, try the 32-bit version first, and if it refuses to
install, the 64-bit version also. Certain common antivirus programs,
such as most of those from Nortom or McAfee, tend to cause such
problems, although seldom immediately, so if you have such a
program, remember where to find the fix - you are likely to need it
again. A recent version of Trend's antivirus program also causes
assorted problems in Windows Mail.

Windows Mail
I am experiencing a problem with Vista Windows email. This message is
appearing on messages that have been deleted and put into the deleted message
folder and then I cannot empty them from the deleted message folder.
What is going wrong and how do I get it fixed?????!!!!

Hi Rees

Empty your delete folder leaving only the damaged emails in there. Right
click on the delete folder icon and it will ask you if you want to delete all
messages. Click yes and it will get rid on them one at a time. Cheers
