Can't Delete message in Deleted Items

I receive this message:

Windows Mail encountered an unexpected problem while displaying this
message. Check your computer for low memory or low disk space and try again.

Windows Mail

for 53 messages in my delted items file. Because of that, I can not delete
these messages. How can I delete them?

Messages may be stuck in the Outbox when you use Windows Mail on a computer
that is running Windows Vista

It also works on other folders.
