Is it a bird...? Is it a 'plane...? No, it's Super Ant! (...and it looks like the little varmints have spread to London.)

Super Ants at Hidcote Manor in 2009

Gloucestershire could be ground zero for an invasion of Asian super ants, it has been claimed.
The ants, known for their attraction to electricity and penchant for chewing through cables causing blackouts, were found at Hidcote Manor back in 2009.
The ants were supposed to have been got rid of but the discovery of a new colony at a home in Hendon in north London has raised fears they could have spread across all of the south of the UK.
Experts have warned the discovery in London is a “wake up call” and unless something is done the pests could become a widespread menace across the UK within the next 10 years.
Super ants are known to congregate in massive swarms in contrast to native ants which prefer queuing in a line.
The super ants construct interconnected nests which can span for miles.
