I bought a EISYSTEMS laptop from Pcworld couple of months ago. I just want to visit Eisystem home page. Does any body know their home page. I tried google and all possible domain names like eisystem.com, eisystem.co.uk etc etc.

Looking for English version

Isn't there any English Version of this site? I tried google Translation tool but it is not very good. Also it seems to be that this is not the EiSystems site, because it is listing all of the other laptops e.g Sony, HP etc. And it is obvious that Eisystem people won't market other companies stuff.

In fact I often see the upgrade offers on hp and dell sites that if you want to upgrade your notebook then pay something and get a new one. Currently I have Pentium 4 3.06GHz Laptop of Eisystem (I bought it 8-9 months ago from Pcworld) and I want to upgrade it to some better laptop. Is it possible with EiSystem as Pcworld says no, you can't do this so I thought to directly contact EiSystem. Or alternate way is if some one want to buy this laptop from me. Main Specifications are

Pentium 4 3.06 Ghz processor
512 MB RAM
40 GB HDD
DVD Rom + CD Writer (Combo Drive)
5x USB ports.
TV Out
15" TFT

I still have box and manuals everything. Any offers PM me. Just to let you people know that I paid £900 for that.

Eisystem Laptop

I have also had trouble finding ei system on the net.even pc world ,currys and dixons do not advertise these laptops on the net ,why? perhaps it is that they are crap and they cannot/will not support them.
i have been on the 'laptop ''specialist spares'' site. they do not even answer the e mail.that must say something about eisystem laptops!!!
next step, i am going to the local computer fair. i always seem to find somebody who knows something about what you want and how to get it. so much for internet help, i find it very frustrating i.e inaproppiate leads(how many times you put up a search and then informed that 'ebay' has a bucket load of these to sell? then in desperation do an 'ebay'search ,only to be told that your search has no results?

when i wanted a replacement keyboard spares were avaible from a european source at a cost of £70 plus postage.
in desperation i did a search on ebay for spares ,struck lucky and got one for £15.it's worth a try.if the cost of the keyboard new is anything to go by ,sell your ie sysyem on ebay for spares and use your cash to buy another comp.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone here could give me a hint on how to open up an EiSystems laptop? I have undone all screws that are on the case (That I can see, I have removed the majority of the stickers apart from one which I have ran a pencil over but no indentation was there) and I have now resorted to sticking blunt objects in to try and level the case open incase of a hidden clip but that also does not work. I can get the majority of the case apart but there is one area (at the back near the USB ports) that will not come apart. It is an EiSystems 4417 although any information on how you have got a different EiSystems laptop apart would be usefull. Cheers in advanced. GingerNinja

:) Problem solved. If anyone else gets stuck... Try sliding the top part (where the power button is) to the left. :wall:

Try removing the keyboard and then find some screws inside. Sometime laptops have screws inside as well. I hope this will help.

Those EIsystems things are totally crap we just write them off when they come in as they aren't worth replacing.....Motherboards can only be sourced for those things trade only....But you wouldn't want to...:D

EISystem 4412

Are these machines really that bad. My mate give me this laptop as it wasn't working. When you power up the fan runs and the light indicator goes from orange to green repeatedly. If I remove the battery it stays on green but hard drive switches off after a few seconds. Is the board knackered?

They are total crap. That's why they're so cheap! Found 3 brand new PC base units once that would not boot.

I have a feeling the Ei Systems is part of Medion because I saw once that it said 'medion Ei Systems' somewhere. Thought this might help.

Ei Systems

I have recently purchased two of these laptops as xmas presents for my daughters. The salesman said that they had very few back. Within 6 weeks one had failed and the HD would not spin. The second one developed a crack across the screen which my daughter reliably told me had not been through misuse. I returned them both to the store where I was told that the screen wouldnot be covered by warranty (in some senses understandable) but that the other machine would be sent for repair. When I asked about the screen I was told that it probably would not be economical to repair and that the company supplying Dixons charged more for repairs as the original price of the machine was so cheap. As the salesman looked on the screen, I saw over his shoulder the message - 'screen damaged' return, 'dead unit' return. I think they probably are crap.

Ei Systems are pc worlds own brand of pc's.

You get what you pay for sadly & it seems the build & reliability are the things that let it down!

Ei systems laptop

Funny though - there don't appear to be many of them around second hand or to cannabalise them for parts - repair of screen today quoted at 225 pounds plus - so clearly uneconomical to repair unless some cheap parts available - anybody out there got a dead Ei systems laptop that has a good screen - nothing on Ebay or anywhere I have looked today. Plus the only get what you pay for idea is OK but there are plenty of machines at the 399 level so I just have to put this one down to experience. Wish I could send a "good" spam out to 'dis' Curry's by way of retaliation.
