educating the vistaboys... about emachines, vista, and aero Glass

.... to summarize a kirkonian original post.

1. a New York Times like headline (all politics to snag the pavlovian
adgendaists)
2. a fact less pile of anecdotal magic act like redirection usually culled
from several generic article writers who'd have a hard time differentiating
a PCI bus from a MUNI bus.
3. off point banter.
4. a rear guard action .. backing out of the post .. into the kitchen .. a
somersaulting backflip over a pile of pots 'n pans .. with a cartoonesque
soundtrack of it all
5. once again logic and a fine tuned insight has prevailed

heh :)

am I right or what?

I have to tell you that most of the world do not have emachines,
they dont even know what the heck they are

lol

The bottom line is that countless people are running Vista with 512MB just
fine while other are not. So, obviously, other issues are a factor.

Your blanket statements are false at best. In the thread you mentioned at
least 6 people discussed their GOOD 512MB experiences.

Justin I would suggest you load some memory monitoring programs,
and see how much of your ram vista takes....

vista needs 512mb only for itself....

if you want to load a program it starts using virutal memory
slowing down the computer.

Wrong. You have no clue as to what you are talking about. As a program
NEEDS memory that is being used Vista, Vista releases that memory.

Vista absolutely does not need 512 just for itself. It WILL use it, if it's
available but it's not a "hard" requirement.

Once again:
